Here is a full run-down of this year's Asian Image Cup.
>> Moghuls FC 4- Oldham FC 1 A game that was marred by a leg injury to Saif Ahmed in the first half. Saif fractured his leg after going in with a tackle with the Moghuls keeper. We all hope he gets better soon and makes a quick recovery.
Moghuls raced to a three-goal lead before Oldham managed to organise the defence. It could have been more if Moguls had converted their chances.
However Oldham FC did show signs of what they were capable of and they got one back before the half ended.
>> Blackburn United 4 - Fishwick 0 United made light work of a Fishwick side which defensively did not get to grips with the pace and passing of the United frontmen.
After a comical first goal which rebounded off Mubeen into the net United took control of the game.
Only Servet and Atif seemed to cause United any problems but the lack of goal mouth opportunities put Fishwick on the backfoot.
United got two more in the second half to book their place in the semi's with consumate ease.
>> Paak United 2- Coppice United 4 To win Paak must not score two goals first. After last year's horror show when they lost after being two-nil ahead Paak let the lead slip again.
This time a lively Coppice managed to haul themselves back into the game by playing neat one-two's. They equalised and then took the lead as Paak crumbled.
Paak had their own chances but that fourth goal coming from defensive hesitation was the killer blow.
>> Canaries 1- Asia 1 (aet) Asia won 4-3 on penalties How Canaries lost this game after bossing it for so long is beyond us.
From the first whistle Canaries took control and Asia hardly troubled Canaries keeper Dietz until the second half.
The Canaries goal was a screamer from Noble who desevedly put them ahead. The champions were rocked into action. They did press for an equaliser and nearly scored on the hour mark but Kalang cleared off the line.
But as the game headed towards full time up popped Zaigham Khan to put Asia on level terms. Once it went to penalties Asia took full advantage.
The shoot-out saw keeper Amir Nazir save two spot kicks to send Asia through for a repeat of last year's final.
SEMI-FINALS >> Blackburn United 2 - Asia 3 (aet) After the heroics of the day before no-one was expecting Asia to do it again. But they did and this time they came from two goals down.
Both goals coming deep deep into injury time in each half. United raced into a two-nil lead with goals from K Hafegi and Khan and looked to be cruising for large parts of the game.
But an error by Iqbal let Asia back into the game seconds from the half-time whistle - and this proved crucial.
United worked two great opportunities to finish this game off and even in injury time had time to clear the ball on several occasions.
But a sweetly struck late strike by Kadar sent the game into extra-time. United's J Master had another opportunity to win the game but spurned a great cross by Haroon.
As the game drifted towards penalties Asia scrambled the ball into the net after another error by Iqbal.
They were not about to give up their crown just yet.
>> Moghuls 2 - Coppice United 8 For a moment it looked like an upset was on the cards as Moghuls took the lead.
But Coppice hit back with 3 before the half ended and then another five to round things off. Nafeji bagged four and Kameel Ahmed another two to take his own tally to four for the tournament.
Coppice were simply too strong for the Moghuls in the second half and even missed a penalty.
Those quick one two's were great to watch at times.
For a team that has been playing 11-a-side for only one season Lancaster Moghuls looked a decent outfit but came up against a team that was high on confidence and firing on all cylinders.
