A youth football tournament helped raise funds in aid of street children in Bangladesh.

Thirty-four teams participated in the second Youth Football tournament held at Fearns Community Sports College in Stacksteads.

The tournament was in aid of street children in Bangladesh and Pakistan and children displaced by the war in Syria (Project in Lebanon).

Moheen Uddin Organiser said, I would like to thank all the teams, volunteers, BBQ staff, coaches and parents who were part of this amazing football tournament. 

"Alhamdulila teams as far as Birmingham participated in this tournament, Well done to all the teams. I was thoroughly impressed with quality of football shown but the main thing all the kids enjoyed the day and an £1750 was raised from the tournament to support Muslim Charity's Children of the world campaig.

"I would like say big thanks to Amz Cuts (Haslingden), Bumbas Grill (Rawtenstall), Kushbu grocery (Haslingden) and Chesters (Haslingden) for supporting the event."
