Singh Sabha Slough stormed to victory at the 2016 UK Asian Football Championships.
The final held at Celtic Park saw Singh Sabha take on London Apsa in the final. The show piece final ended with Singh Sabha running out as 6-1 winners. Singh Sabha had earlier topped a group on goal difference pipping Smethwick Rangers to the final.
The group fixture between the sides ended 4-4! North West representatives Halifax Hammers were unlucky not to progress to the final having ended the day on five points having drawn two and won one game.
Halifax though may well had a reason to be a little annoyed after opposition side Afghan United failed to fulfill their final fixture. It meant the side were awarded three points and a three goal win.
If London Apsa had drawn their final game this may have left three sides on five points and the placings decided by goal-difference.
The annual tournament sees the final played at alternate venues between Celtic Park and Rangers Ibrox. More to follow
