Amir Khan has aimed another barb at US presidential candidate Donald Trump ahead of his WBC middleweight title clash with Saul Alvarez in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

Khan and Alvarez had used part of a Wednesday press conference to deride the outspoken Trump, whom promoter Oscar De La Hoya claimed to have offered a non-ringside ticket for the fight.

Mexican Alvarez called Trump's views on immigrants offensive, while Khan intimated he may not fight again in the US if presumptive Republican Party nominee Trump became president.

On Thursday evening, Trump took to Twitter to describe reports that he would be attending the fight as "totally untrue", adding: "Unfortunately I have other plans."

And Khan was swift to respond on his own social media account, emphasising Trump would not have been welcome.

Khan tweeted: "Its sold out unfortunately with Foreign fans.. Catch us on @HBOboxing."

Khan is continuing to revel in his underdog role for the fight, having stepped up two weight divisions and even admitted he does not have the power to finish Alvarez.

Although odds on Khan's victory are nowhere near 5,000-1, as they were for Leicester's Premier League title win, the dedicated Bolton Wanderers supporter said he would take heart from the Foxes' improbable triumph.

Khan told Sky Sports News: "It (Leicester's win) definitely inspires me.

"Leicester were 5,000-1 on winning the Premiership and they went and won it - it shows maybe it's the year of the underdogs. Leicester City are a great motivation for me going into this fight."
