Former England international Kevin Pietersen is gearing up for another spell in franchise Twenty20, this time in the inaugural Pakistan Super League.
Pietersen was this week confirmed as a player in the PSL alongside the likes of Luke Wright and Tim Bresnan, but it is not yet known what teams they could turn out for.
Earlier this month, the 35-year-old signed up with the Sunfoil Dolphins in South Africa's RAM Slam T20 competition.
On his PSL move, Pietersen said via a video message posted on the league's Facebook page: "Absolutely buzzing to be a part of the Pakistani mela (fair) coming up in February.
"(I) cannot wait to get started. Looks like it's going to be a wonderful competition, lots of fun, lots of sixes, lots of wickets. R eally, really excited to be a part of this wonderful tournament and excited to get going."
Pietersen's last competitive action came in the Caribbean Premier League in June and July, where he made 295 runs in 10 innings for the St Lucia Zouks.
