Shakeeb ‘The Storm’ Ali finally made his debut as a professional fighter this month and he began with a bang.

The young boxer was in fine form at Preston’s Guild Hall in front of a big crowd.

Speaking after the fight he said he was looking forward to competing in the coming months. It has not been as easy ride for the Shakeeb who had great potential as a youngster before his career was interrupted.

It seems though he has not allowed things to stand in his way and a great example of how a young person can turn their life around quickly with focus and direction.

“It was a good experience. I won every round and I was cruising through it really.

“There were issues getting my licence but they dealt with it. I kept my focus and I kept training and kept fit and it happened for me.”

Shakeeb looked very comfortable in his first fight. “I am happy and this is good confidence to take into my next fight.

“A big thank you to my sponsors National Advice Clinic, Temple Tyres and Harwood Solicitors. They make my life easier.

“A big thank you also to my supporters and everyone who has backed me.”

“Next up it is April 4th in Blackburn.”
