Bangistan producer Ritesh Sidhwan has spoken of his disappointment after news that the movie will be banned in the United Arab Emirates.
Excel Entertainment Co-Founder and Bangistan producer Sidhwani said, "It is very disappointing that the Censor board finds the film offensive, as there is no such content in the film. We shall be sending it to the re-examining committee".
Directed by Karan Anshuman, "Bangistan" tells the story of two unlikely terrorists, the antitheses of each other, with a common destructive goal.
It stars Riteish Deshmukh (Ek Villain, Housefull, Lai Bhaari), Pulkit Samrat (Fukrey, Dolly Ki Doli), and Chandan Roy Sanyal (Kaminey, D-Day).
The film is set to be released in the UK on 7 August.
