The DKNY Ramadan Campaign is fantastic for fashion and bringing together fashion diversity.
It’s an amazing movement in the industry to have a well known designer brand get behind a festive celebration, giving Muslim women fashion identity, covering up yet being able to explore it in a manner that brings together subtle but stunning beauty.
With France banning the Burqa and Nikaab, DKNY Ramadan highlights Muslim women can look glam yet modest at the same time.
The stunning collection comes from two amazing middle eastern designers – Yada Golsharifi, fashion editor of Styles Magazine and the fashion designer Tamara Al Gabbani. We hope to do an exclusive review on Tamara soon!
My interest lies in what this means for fashion.
An international brand integrating a diverse religious clothing on trend?
The trends are simply stunning. Lifestyle changes in the west means a need for fashion changes to interact and engage.
This is a brilliant initiative, to demonstrate that religious clothing can still have it’s guidelines, yet being on trend.
