Four men are to stand trial after denying putting up stickers supporting a banned far-right extremist group at a university campus.

The men were charged after a West Midlands Police investigation into three National Action-branded labels discovered by security staff at Aston University, Birmingham, in July last year.

Chad Williams-Allen, Dean Lloyd, Gary Jack and Alexander Deakin are accused of displaying offensive material likely to stir up racial hatred.

Appearing at Birmingham Crown Court on Monday, the men entered not guilty pleas to the charge and nodded to Judge Mary Stacey that they understood proceedings.

Williams-Allen and Lloyd, both 26, of Tantany Lane, West Bromwich, West Midlands, Jack, 21, of Heathland Road, and Deakin, 22, both of Birmingham, were told by the judge they would next appear in court for a trial on April 3, next year.
