Over 850,000 people currently living with dementia in the U.K. More than 520,000 of those suffer from Alzheimer's.

Rizwan said on his funding page, "I'm cycling London to Paris on 19 July 2017 over five days as it will take perseverance and dedication.

"Over the next few months I will be asking for your support by donations, auctions, sponsors  to raise money to help people affected by this disease.

"I would like to thanks everyone who has help support the cause so far and hopefully help to continue to do so."

Alzheimer's is a physical disease which affects the brain.

Problems build up in the brain which causes the loss of connections between nerve cells and eventually the death of nerve cells and loss of brain tissue.

Unfortunately there is currently no cure for Alzheimer's however current treatments include helping boost the levels of chemical messengers in the brain which can help with some symptoms.
