Asian Image named as finalist at O2 Media Awards 2017

The publication is one of three finalists in the Community Publication category.

ITV Granada Reports leads the broadcasters with 12 nominations; BBC North West Tonight has nine and Radio City tops the radio chart with five O2 nominations, including one for the station’s legendary presenter and former Liverpool star Ian St.John. Local TV station That’s Lancashire is the surprise of the year with four nominations for its young team.

Writers and photographers at the Liverpool Echo and Daily Post feature strongly with 13 nominations.

Nicola Green, Director of Corporate Affairs at O2 said: “The volume and standard of entries this year has been unprecedented. Judges had the monumental task of selecting a shortlist from hundreds of exceptional portfolios.

The O2 Media Awards presentation evening is on November 9 at Manchester’s Ethiad Stadium. BBC Breakfast’s Louise Minchin will host the event alongside Dave Massey, Head of Corporate Communications at O2.
