The first of the annual processions to celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) have taken place.
The ‘Milad un Nabi’ as it is known is common celebration held in many parts of the world.
In Blackburn, Accrington and Nelson people were greeted by local businesses and families who offered them food en route.
Police and teams of volunteers from the community marshalled the procession.
