TRAIN users from Bradford could help identify a man accused of racially abusing a member of staff at a railway station.

The incident happened on August 16, shortly after 10.30pm, when the staff member challenged a man who was trying to get through barriers at Leeds station without a ticket.

British Transport Police (BTP) said that when the man was told he needed a ticket to travel, he racially abused the member of staff.

The man returned a short while later after buying a ticket and, when he had passed through the barrier, he threw the ticket at the victim, said BTP.

Now, BTP have released this image of a man they want to speak to about the incident.

PC Fahd Khan said: "No-one should have to suffer such offensive abuse, particularly when they are just doing their job.

"After reviewing CCTV, we are issuing an image of a man we want to speak to about the incident.

"The man in the images is someone who I believe has information about this incident. Who is he?"

Anyone with information on the man or the incident can contact BTP on 0800 405040, or text 61016, quoting reference 149 of August 31. Alternatively, ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
