A community group which aims to get kids active in a variety of sports has been given a welcome boost by a law firm.

AMT Lawyers have teamed-up with Blackburn based FACE, who are helping to run popular weekly sports sessions for both boys and girls aged 4-11.

Yasin Seedat told us: “It has been an amazing start of the year for our community organisation ‘FACE.’ “January continued as 2015 ended for the group. We have added further classes to project FACEFIT which offers professional fitness classes for both men and women on alternative days.”

AFC FACE teams have also been in action through the bitter temperatures as plans for two new teams are already in place for September which will total five teams in their second season ranging from under 7’s up to seniors.

Yasin added: “There is so much going on with plans for a youth group to carry out their first international project later this year.”

Asjad Hussain of AMT Lawyers said: “We are delighted to be supporting the group in their activities.

“The local community has always been important to the firm and the work they are doing helps all communities in the area.”

Rebecca Wilde, development co-ordinator at FACE, told us: “We are always made up when our efforts are noticed and to have local businesses and schools partnering up in working towards our mission is a great boost for all of the team.

“It adds further energy and excitement as we aim to grow together hand in hand with such organisations, our children, young people and families alike.

“I cannot thank all our volunteers enough as their efforts can never go unnoticed, you guys rock!”

FACE aim to utilise the sponsor money in launching a new project to be kickstarted around Easter, FACEPLANTwith Cedars Primary School.

FACEPLANT is an innovative garden allotment which will be open to children, young people and adults where all can come together and learn about growing fruit and vegetables.
