A VULNERABLE woman whose husband was dragged from a house fire in April has gone missing for the second time this year.

Police worry that Gulabben Nagin Patel is at high risk after going missing from her Deane home early yesterday morning.

The 61-year-old was last seen between 6.30 and 8.30am in Wigan Road, the street of her semi-detached home.

Her husband Nagin Patel required hospital treatment after being found at the burning house by firefighters, but made a full recovery.

He reported his wife missing after being the last person to see her yesterday before he left the house to go to work.

Mrs Patel is Asian, 5ft 2in tall, of a heavy build with short dark hair.

She uses a walking stick, which is either silver or black, and speaks Gujarati and some English.

Mrs Patel is believed to be wearing a pink hooded jacket, brown and black woollen hat, light blue jumper, yellow trousers and black shoes. It is believed she had her bus pass with her.

She used to work at Maxilin at Swan Lane Mill.

Insp Nicki Tompsett, from Bolton Central Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Her family are very concerned about where she may have gone and desperately want her to make contact.

"Concerns are mounting due to the time that Mrs Patel has been missing as the weather conditions have become worst over the past 24 hours.

“If you have seen her or have any information about where she is, please contact the police immediately.”

Mrs Patel was also reported missing on April 29, the day after her husband was found unconscious in the house fire.

She was last seen that day at 5am, hours before the fire started.

Mr Patel was pulled out of the home by firefighters at about 2.10pm.

Anyone with information on Gulabben's whereabouts should contact Greater Manchester Police on 101 or 0161 856 5619.
