An inspirational mum of four and grandmother of nine who still finds time to volunteer tirelessly was named the Aksa Home Neighbourhood Champion 2015 at the Fusion Awards.
Volunteers, charity champions and entrepreneurs from across the North West gathered in Blackburn for the event.
Our Neighbourhood champions are individuals who go out of their way to make their communities better places to live.
Carol is always available as a helping hand, assisting and supporting her neighbours. In doing so Carol has become well known, respected and loved within the community.

Her enthusiasm shown in this role has become infectious in encouraging other residents to volunteer.
Carol plays a pivotal role within her volunteering work and has been instrumental in developing a ‘neighbourhood agreement’ designed to promote residents to be more neighbourly, respectful with the aim to reduce anti-social behaviour.
Despite battling her own health problems, Carol hasn’t let this slow her down or get in the way of what she enjoys the best helping others.
