Asif Timol and Salman Bariwala of Room Four Dessert collected the much coveted Supreme Dream Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

The two businessmen's new-style coffee shop and dessert parlour idea has expanded in a short space of time seeing them launch a second branch in 2015.

Room Four Dessert is an old-style coffee shop, delicatessen and dessert parlour in the heart of Bolton’s student land.

The coffee shop is the entrepreneurial dream of university friend’s Asif Timol and Salman Bariwala. Asif, who is a law graduate and Salman, who graduated in genetics met at university. Whilst both men work in their respective professions, the aspiration to open the business was ever prevalent. Room Four Desserts serve cream cakes, an exclusive range of ice cream, milk shakes and hot waffles as well as espresso coffee, pasta bakes and a selection of salads.

It was their first venture into the food and drink market, but after a very successful year, they decided the time was right to grow and will open their second site inside the newly refurbished All Souls Church in Charlotte Street.

.

They offer an indulgent range of desserts ranging from the old school custard based desserts for traditionalists to rich and luxurious treats for the dessert aficionado. Despite their success, Asif and Salman are keen to be innovative and to improve their business in every facet.

Asif said, “We are not very often lost for words! This was a big surprise especially when we saw the fellow finalists we were up against. We were quite laid back about it and we thought we didn’t stand a chance!

“It is very humbling to receive this.

“It is lovely to get this recognition at such an early stage in our business.”
