Sandhya a British-Asian urban singer will release of her debut album this summer.
Sandhya's album Soul Entertainment delves into her rich cultural upbringing in the hope of becoming one of delivering one of this summer's unforgettable sounds.
Born in Salford the 22-year-old grew up in Kerala, India and Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, the former dentistry student has had a far from stereotypical upbringing.
She is a classically trained Indian singer and musician, her music draws inspiration from the likes of Beyonce, Jewel and Kanye West when writing and co producing her songs. With the help of producer Ashish Rama the result is a stimulating melting pot where eastern spices meet western flavours.
The singer songwriter has already played live on BBC Radio Manchester and supported multi-million selling US artist Montell Jordan at the Carling Academy in Islington.
She said: "I write, sing and co produce all my songs, so most of my songs actually have a meaning behind them and I think a lot of the things I sing about are topics and feelings that other people can relate to."
Sandhya will be performing at Summer Fiesta in Great Yarmouth on 10th June and at Birmingham Eid Mela on 16th July
