BUS users across our area can now pay for their tickets on board using just their credit or debit cards.
First Berkshire has launched new ticket machines which allow contactless payment for the first time on bus services in the Slough, Maidenhead, Windsor, Heathrow Airport, High Wycombe and Uxbridge areas.
Designed to make paying more convenient, the contactless option removes the need to carry cash and First says boarding times will also improve as a result – speeding up journeys.
All major cards are accepted, as well as Apple Pay and Android Pay.
Marc Reddy, for First Hampshire, Dorset and Berkshire, said: “We’re very proud to launch contactless payment technology on First’s Buses.
“This is another major step forward in enhancing the customer experience and builds on other innovations including mTickets, and the new journey planner app.”
