They may well have had a few players in the side on the other side of thirty but Al-Zayn were in scintillating mood at a tournament in Preston.
The seven-a-side tournament held at Prestons College attracted clubs from across Lancashire was organised by members of the AFC Preston team.
Having got through the group stages FC Al-Zayn then went on to beat Corporation Park and favourites Deepdale La Coruna before overcoming Burley FC in the final.
Blackburn’s Pique Blinders came up against well organised Burley FC in the semi’s.
In both the semi-final and final Al-Zayn had captain Asif Jogee to thank for pulling off some great saves after both matches went to penalties.
In a cage final Burley FC had some of the better openings but when it went to penalties Al-Zayn were lethal.
Organiser Bilal Majoo said: “We would like to thank everyone for their support in helping to stage the tournament.
“A big thank you to Barber and Co Solicitors and Metro Travels for their assistance.
“Thank you also to Suz Member, Sajed Karmadi, Ricardo Pinto and Suhail Majoo.”
The player of the tournament award went to Nadim Ahmed.
