A CHARITY fun day at the Macron Stadium raised thousands of pounds in aid of the Rohingya refugee crisis.
The free event featured more than 100 stalls, fairground rides, sporting challenges, and kids entertainment.
There were also a number of auctions and raffles, with a boxing glove donated by Amir Khan among the prizes.
Amir himself made a surprise appearance at the event, and made an impassioned plea for people to get behind the cause.
The event was organised by Muslim Community Events, a voluntary, non-profit organisation whose aim is to unite communities locally and nationally by organising the best in-class community and charity events.
The group has set an ambitious target of £75,000 to help build shelter homes for the Rohingya people in Burma in partnership with the UK registered charity Muslim Hands.
