MALMESBURY mayor Ray Sanderson has organised three events for his mayoral appeal in the last weeks of his year in office.
When he was appointed mayor in May last year, Coun Sanderson vowed to follow the motto ‘service before self’. He also started a charity appeal aiding Hope for Tomorrow, and the Jo Dolphin Special Care Centre in Malmesbury, South Africa.
He has organised the town’s first beer festival to raise funds on April 19-20 in the town hall. There will be 20 local beers, live music will be performed and entrance costs £5 in advance, with tickets available from The Whole Hog and The King’s Arms Hotel.
There will also be a night of music on April 26. Advance tickets cost £5 and are available from the town hall.
