The people of Rochdale are coming together to show their support and solidarity with Gaza on Sunday 27th July 2014 at 2pm outside Rochdale Town Hall.

This peaceful rally will hear from a number of speakers and look at highlighting the injustices of the Palestinians who are being massacred in Gaza by Israel.

The rally main address will be by Mohammed Shafiq, Chief Executive of the Ramadhan Foundation who will be travelling to Gaza in a few weeks and a number of other speakers: Speakers include: Rabbi Ahron Cohen, Manchester, Simon Danczuk MP, Rochdale, Afzal Khan MEP, Shaykh Muhammad Umar, Chairman, Ramadhan Foundation, Linda Clair, Chairperson Palestinian Solidarity Committee, Manchester, Mohammed Luqman, activist (visited Gaza in 2013), Maz Bonafide.

Mohammed Shafiq, said: "I am proud that Rochdale has put together this rally to show solidarity with the people of Gaza who are being killed in their hundreds. we hold Israel responsible for the killings and call for an end to the violence and collective punishment of the people of Gaza.

"You will Rochdale and the North West at its best, standing side by side, irrespective of ethnicity or faith in unity for Gaza"

The Rochdale Gaza rally will be taking place outside Rochdale Town Hall, the Esplanade, Rochdale, OL16 1AB on Sunday 27th July 2014 at 2pm.
