A remake of the popular American series ‘Taxi’ is being planned with an all Pakistani cast.

The production will be filmed with real Pakistanis taking up the roles made famous by Danny Devito and Andy Kaufman.

The series will be based at a taxi office and it is hoped that it will be exported to the US once filming is finished.

Director Anas Tahir Khan said, “This is a really exciting project and brings the whole series to a new generation.

“There is a fantastic cast and great plots.”

The main character has a busy night in the first storyline which sees him trying to persuade several drunk passengers that he is not a member of the Taliban whilst attempting to clean curry vomit of his back seat.
