Volunteers from a Preston inter-faith group visited a care home ahead of the festival of Eid.

The first Eid which is due to take place this week, marks the end of Ramadan where Muslims fast for the month.

Members of the Light Foundation met with residents of the Tom Finney Care Home.

A spokesperson from Light Foundation said: "We have been visiting the Finney House Care Home regularly for a few years and are deeply grateful for this special friendship. We pray our visit was able to bring happiness to the hearts of those we met.

"We listened to many inspiring stories from the residents including emotional accounts and fun filled stories about their lives.

"Thank you to the brilliant KW Foods located on Kent Street, Preston for their support in making this visit a success."
