"There's no plans for me to go back, just because I think it wouldn't be the right time and having three kids is a lot and also working there is a lot."
The Bury-born actress shares three children with her ex-partner Matthew Wolfenden, who also starred in Emmerdale.
Her character, Debbie, was last seen leaving for Scotland and has since been written off as having moved to Australia.
Some fans have questioned her absence from key family storylines, including her father Cain’s recent cancer diagnosis and her mother Charity becoming a surrogate.
She also revealed a personal dislike of her character’s name.
She said: "I hate that name by the way, it's the worst name.
"It's not even the Debbie that offends me, it's the double D, like why would you do that?
"Why would you come up with that for me?"
