A 31 year old woman living with a terminal brain tumour has launched an appeal for help accessing treatment, which she hopes could give her more time with the people she loves.

Sibylle Premannandan was diagnosed aged 30 with Diffuse Midline Glioma, known as DMG, which she describes as a rare and aggressive brain tumour.

According to her fundraising appeal, she was initially given a prognosis of around one year.

She has continued treatment since her diagnosis but says the treatment she had been receiving for six months has now stopped working.

Sibylle is now hoping to access re-irradiation and Avastin, with each course costing more than £4,000 privately.

In her fundraiser, she said waiting times mean she is trying to access the treatment privately.

She wrote: "Time is something I do not have.I want more time to make memories. More time to tell the people I love how much they mean to me.

"More time to laugh, to love, to feel the warmth of a hug, and to appreciate the little things that make life beautiful."

She said she had never expected to find herself publicly asking for help paying for treatment.

"But here I am, holding on to hope and asking, from the bottom of my heart, for a little help along the way."

The fundraiser is intended to help cover the cost of the private treatment.

Sibylle has also asked people who cannot donate to share her appeal in the hope of reaching others who may be able to help.

She said: "Every donation and share could help me access the treatment I desperately need and give me the chance of more precious time with the people I love."
