“Although Chris may be remembered for his decades of dedication to school pupils as a teacher and the community of Winchester as both a local councillor and mayor, we will remember Chris fondly for his constant and unwavering support of our organisation.

“From the beginning over 20 years ago, Chris was instrumental in bringing our community together, in not only drafting the first and second but also the latest iteration of our constitution.

“Chris acted for us as an independent election commissioner for over 23 years and even till the end was a source of guidance and inspiration. Chris has left a void in the fabric of Winchester that will be hard to fill. May he rest in peace.”
