A Burnley actress has been cast in the highly anticipated movie Mr Hyde: The Untold Story.

Lamissah La-Shontae is playing Dr Kate Parker, a trainee surgeon in the film which features a stellar cast.

The teenager said: “I am super excited to be able to bring this amazing character to life onscreen.”

Lamissah has also been shortlisted as in the Positive Role Model category at the National Diversity Awards.

She posted: “Truly honoured, humbled and blessed beyond words.

“To have even been nominated for @ndawards 2023 is a massive achievement again. I'm so eternally grateful to each and everyone of you. Thank you so very much.”

 

 

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is being played by the Adam Astill, known for his roles in Eastenders, The Bill, The Bay, Mistresses and most recently Blood, Sex and Royalty.

Rachel Warren stars as psychiatric Doctor and Amber Doig-Thorne, who is known for her roles in the hit 'Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey' also features.

They will be joined by Love Island star Jake Cornish who stars at DI Jacobs.

He posted: “Over the moon to announce that I am playing such a big role in the new MR Hyde: The Untold Story film.

"A pleasure to be working alongside such and amazing cast and production team.  Who knows ? New change of career.

"I’ve always wanted to be involved in films and here we are. An actor, I can’t wait to get started on filming.”
