The Light Foundation in Partnership with Peace Matters are aiming to highlight the persecution of at least one million Uyghurs and other Muslims in prison camps in China.
The torture and murder has been condemned by faith leaders across the UK, and beyond, including that of Rowan Williams, the former archbishop of Canterbury, who are declaring that the Uyghurs are facing "one of the most egregious human tragedies since the Holocaust".
A Potential Genocide of Uyghur Muslims in China: A Crisis of Religious Intolerance will include guest Speakers, MP Yasmin Qureshi (Shadow Minister for International Development); Rahima Mahmut (Human Rights Activist), Imam Qari Asim MBE (Scholar and Lawyer); Reverend. Dr Toby Howarth (Bishop of Bradford); Shaykh Adam Kelwick (International Humanitarian) and Rabbi Dr. Michael Hilton (Senior Lecturer).
A Potential Genocide of Uyghur Muslims in China: A Crisis of Religious Intolerance will take place Thursday 24 September 2020 at 7.30pm (UK) | GMT
