Professionals, businesses and community workers from the Muslim community were honoured at the 8th British Muslim Awards.

The event took place at the Mercure Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester where individuals from across the UK who positively impact business, charity, sport, arts, culture, religious advocacy, education and medicine were awarded.

Categories ranged from Muslim in the Community, Young Achiever of the Year to Spirit of Britain.

The evening was hosted by Halal Hangouts.
