A major new halal Steakhouse is set to open in Manchester this summer.

Ribeye Steakhouse is due to open in time for Eid and will open on First Street in the city, close to the HOME cinema complex.

The interior build of this new development is underway and the 140 covered restaurant will also feature an outdoor seating area for 40 people.

The owners say the new menu will include the 'finest cuts of Wagyu and Aberdeen Angus Beef' as well as a huge selection of seafood and chicken dishes.

The Vegetarian and Vegan offering will be available for those with specific dietary requirements.

"We're currently working on some exciting dishes," said owner Sohail Kaushal.

He added, "We were attracted to First Street as it's a very up-and-coming area of Manchester and we jumped at the chance at being able to be a part of it. We were born and bred in Manchester and see Manchester as one of the most diverse cities in the world.

"We want people from all backgrounds to come to the restaurant and enjoy their experience."

Ribeye Steakhouse will be opening in May 2019.
