A man who filmed himself on Snapchat raping a woman before sending the footage to her friends has been jailed.
Aziz Khan, of Heron Street, Heron Cross, Stoke-on-Trent, admitted rape and was jailed for 11 years and two months on Tuesday, Staffordshire Police said.
The 22-year-old also pleaded guilty to disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress, the force added.
Khan raped his victim in Stoke in April 2017 before sending a 10-second Snapchat video of the attack to the woman's friends.
He was also placed on the sex offenders register for life.
Speaking after the sentencing at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court, Detective Constable Ann Blairs, of Staffordshire Police CID, said: "This was a very serious offence and Khan will serve a prison sentence for what he has done.
"I want to commend the victim for having the courage to come forward and have the confidence in us to bring this case before the courts.
"I also want to thank her family and friends for their support."
