The Gujarat Hindu Society celebrated the seventieth Republic Day of India.
The cultural show included Classical dancing, bollywood dancing and cultural items by GHS boys & Girls.We had performances from Swati Dance Company, Abhinandana Dance Academy & Anu Dance group.Over 500 people came to watch the show.
Amongst the dignitaries were the member of parliament, Sir Mark Hendrick; Interim Chief Executive of Preston City Council Adrian Phillips; Chief Inspector of Police Mr.Steve Sansbury and Cllr Peter Moss.
Sir Mark Hendrick said, "I am delighted to be attending the celebration and has a very close working relationship with GHS who does not only promote religion but provide a wide variety of activities for its members and the wider community.
"I have always admired the effort put in the production of the cultural show."
The president of the organisation Mr.Dashrathbhai Nayee praised the hard work that has been put in by all the trainers and participants.
He also emphasised that it is important to maintain our cultural heritage and today’s performance is just an example of how the rich culture is flourishing amongst the youg people of the society.
