A new 'vegetarian shawarma' has received a mix reaction from meat aficionados.
The vegetarian shawarma is made entirely from celery root and takes three days to cook.Β
At present the vegetarian shawarma is only available at the Noma restaurant in Copenhagen, Denmark.
However, Twitter users were quick to respond to the adaptation of a favourite dish.Β

It's not a shawarma. It might be absolutely delicious, but it's not a shawarma. Maybe the veggie and vegan movement would be more popular if it just invented and marketed its own foods rather than trying to pretend it can imitate everything and then failing by comparison
