Saeed Atcha of Bolton has been awarded an MBE for services to Young People and the community in Greater Manchester.

Saeed, aged 22 set up his own magazine Xplode (2011) with the help of funds he sourced from communications network provider O2. 

He volunteered for up to 30 hours a week for 6 years, before moving into paid employment with Xplode in 2017.

Mufti Helal Mahmood, aged 37 of Oldham has been awarded an MBE for services to Community Cohesion.

He has brought together the Imams and Madrassa teachers from the different Islamic traditions to work with Local Authority and other partners.

He has been active in dispelling myths around Prevent, the Government’s counter-terrorism strategy, which has led to quick condemnation for acts of terrorism purportedly committed in the name of Islam and the development of strategies to counteract reactions that would adversely affect borough cohesion.

He has also co-ordinated the collection of charitable donations from Oldham’s mosques towards the Mayor’s non-Muslim charities, encouraging a sense of belonging among the borough’s Muslim communities.

Mohammed Muaaz Khan, Founder, Eid Unwrapped, and Convenor, Public Service Youth Foundation. was awarded an MBE for services to Young People in Manchester.

Jamila Kossar, Senior Leadership Team, Manchester Islamic High School for Girls, and Co-founder, Manchester with the Homeless was awarded an MBE For services to Young People.

Surinderpal Singh (Tony) Lit was awarded an MBE for services to the British-Asian community. (Richmond, Surrey)

Maj Mandy Islam, Royal Army Medical Corps and Cpl Sohail Ifraz, Adjutant General's Corps (Staff and Personnel Support Branch) were awarded MBE's.

Mandeep Kaur, Sikh Chaplain to the Armed Forces was awarded an ABE for services to Armed Forces Personnel and to the Sikh community. (Birmingham, West Midlands)

Monojaha Polly Islam was awarded an MBE For services to charity and to the UK Bangladeshi community. (Bedfordshire).

Rifhat Malik was awarded an MBE for services to Muslim Women and to charity. (Leeds, West Yorkshire).

Mohammed Ridwan Ahmed Rafique, Diversity and Inclusion manager, Immigration Enforcement, Home Office was awarded an MBE for services to the Promotion of Inclusion in the Home Office and to the community in Sandwell. (West Midlands).

Kuljit Kaur Sagoo, Chair, Home Office Gender Equality Network was awarded an MBE for services to Diversity and to Inclusion in the Home Office. (Derbyshire).

Nisha Sujata Katona, Founder and director, Mowgli Street Food Group Ltd was awarded an MBE For services to the Food Industry. (Wirral, Merseyside).

Faeeza Vaid, Executive director, Muslim Women's Network UKwas awarded an MBE for services to Women's Rights. (Birmingham, West Midlands).

Jagdev Singh Mavi was awarded a BEM for services to the Sikh community in Walsall West Midlands. (Walsall, West Midlands).

Pinakin Ishvarlal Patel was awarded an MBE.  Pinakin Ishvarlal is a Prevent Co-ordinator and Chair, London Prevent Network. For services to Community Cohesion and to Preventing Radicalisation. 

Jagdev Singh Mavi was awarded a BEM for services to the Sikh community in Walsall West Midlands. (Walsall, West Midlands).
