A 15-year-old has reached the semi-final of the ‘Miss Teen Great Britain’ competition.
Rosie Ahmed will now go on to attend three grand final events.
She said, “It is a pleasure to be able to take part in such an amazing competition, I am honoured to be a part of Miss Teen Great Britain and to have got this far. It truly is a privilege.”
Miss Teen Great Britain is a nationwide pageant for girls aged between ten and 19 in three separate age ranges.
The competition says it is not a beauty contest with the interview portion counting for 50% of the total score. The contests were created to be a positive and confidence-building experience for young girls and teenagers.
Rosie is a student at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Blackburn.
“The reason I applied for Miss Teen Great Britain was because I was inspired by many girls that where similar to what I am doing today.
“I have had a lot of support and encouragement from my family and friends including my father, mother and sisters who are very hardworking, supportive and determined for me to do my very best.
“Remember girls empowered women empower women.”
