More than £2 million was raísed at an event in Manchester last night.
Attended by the Chief Justice of Pakistan Miah Saqib Nasir the money will go towards the ambitious Dam Appeal he is spearheadíng.

The 1300 dinner event (Friday November 23) was held at the Sheridan Suite and hosted by BBC Asian Network's Noreen Khan with special guests includíng Amir Khan among others.
The final figure on the níght was £2.1 million but it is believed further pledgdes pushed that amount over £2.5m with some businesses donating tens of thousands on the night.
The record breaking figure was more than any other amount raised in other cities.
The Diamer Bhasha dam aims to block off a Himalayan valley on the upper reaches of the Indus making it the world's sixth tallest dam. The Mohmand dam aims to be 75 miles to the south west.
The total cost is expected to exceed 16bn dollars analysts say.
