Volunteers handed out 1000 roses to passers-by in a bid to break down barriers and bring some much needed community love to shoppers!
Members of Hands of Hope say they undertake various projects around Blackburn for the greater cause of the community.
Shakeel Choudhry from the group said, "On this occasion we wanted to deliver 1000 Roses to random members of the public in Blackburn town centre.
He added, "A fragrance of love and respect was evident when we handed out the roses as in return we received nothing but smiles, gratitude and total respect
"We did this to dispel a myth that the TV programme Panorama had suggested we were a segregated town.
"By sharing the love through distributing the roses we proved that Blackburn holds its values when it comes to diversity in the town."
