A Preston community organisation are hoping to raise £1,000 for the family of Saffie Rose, the eight-year-old girl who sadly lost her life in the Manchester terrorist attack.
Nadeem Ashfaq, co-founder of Light Foundation said, "What motivated us to start this really small campaign of raising £1,000 for the family is that an innocent life of ambitions and dreams of an 8 year old has tragically been taken away in a glimpse of a second, and many lives broken in the process.
"Myself and colleagues at the Light Foundation have children, and nephews and nieces ourselves, the very same age as Saffie whose gentle and innocent face pulled at our heart strings, and this is the reason why we felt compelled to help out a fellow Lancastrian family in their time of need.
"And what makes us Brits great is that we are able to stick together in times of difficulty irrespective of faith or backgrounds."
