A woman who was filmed allegedly attacking an Uber taxi driver has apologised for her actions after a video of the incident went viral.

Dr Anjali Ramkissoon was filmed intoxicated and attacked an Uber driver in Miami. After the video was viewed over 6 million times she was interviewed on American TV.

She told Good Morning America, “No one deserves to be treated that way. I paid for the damages and I am thankful he didn't press charges.

"I’m here to own up to what I did, taking responsibility for it and asking for forgiveness."

She also said things had happened before the altercation which she described the worst day of her life, “A lot had happened that day actually.

“Just minutes prior to that altercation with the Uber driver, my boyfriend and I of two years had just broken up.”

She admitted that she had been drinking.

She told TV show INSIDE EDITION that she had received death threats since the news spread, “I've received death threats. I had to change my number, I received text messages telling me ‘kill yourself, you should die.’”

At her home in Florida, she showed an anonymous note she said was left on her car.

"Hoping you never see this letter because you've already crashed and died. Xoxo.”

In the video, she can be seen trying to hit the driver. Later she gets in the car and throws the contents out of the window before calmly walking off.

She added, “Be careful what you do in public because the things we do could be taped and we can suffer extreme ramifications for these things.”
