JOHNSTON Elaine Mary (née Slater) On Friday 12th April 2024, suddenly, in Royal Blackburn Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, Elaine, aged 70 years, retired auxiliary nurse of Blackburn. Beloved wife of Owen, much loved mum of Darren, Liam and the late Andrew, a treasured grandma, dear sister of Craig, and loved companion of Marcus and Lola. The family would like to thank all the staff on Ward C2 of Royal Blackburn Hospital for making Elaine as comfortable as possible and her consultant, Dr I Gkikas. At rest in the Grimshaw Park funeral home. A 10.30am service will be held in Kingsway United Reformed Church, Blackburn on Friday 3rd May followed by committal at Pleasington Crematorium. Mourners are welcome to wear Blackburn Rovers shirts.
