‘Ajj De Ranjhe’ will be the first Punjabi film to release simultaneously in India and Pakistan on the same day on 7 September.
The move comes amidst a growing mass market for Punjabi films in Pakistan.
Director Manmohan Singh said “This is like a dream come true in the context of Punjabi films.
"The Pakistan release will not only forge ties between the two nations, but will also provide Punjabi cinema with a new Punjabi market”.
Ajj De Ranjhe will also be simultaneously released in India, Canada, New Zealand, UK, America, Australia and Europe.
The film features a cast of promising and veteran Punjabi stars, including comedy kingpin Gurpreet Ghuggi, Rana Ranbir, Kimi Verma, Gurleen Chopra, Aman Dhaliwal and Darshan Aulakh An intelligent comedy, Ajj De Ranjhe raises important social issues pertaining to the police and the media, which are expertly interwoven into a clever, witty and well-acted satire.
Ajj De Ranjhe is released in the UK on 7 September by Reliance Entertainment at the following cinemas: Cineworld Bradford, Feltham, Glasgow, Ilford, Luton, Wolverhampton Empire Slough, Piccadilly Leicester, Vue Star City Birmingham
