Ever since the baby, it is my wife who gets all the attention.

It's as if I had no role in her pregnancy, in being by her side throughout those nine months and the labour.

No-one asks how I am feeling or what I went through or how tired I am.

I am just as involved with the baby as she is, but no-one recognises that.

And my wife pays absolutely no attention to me anymore.

I shower her with attention, but all she does is talk about the baby.

Now she wants to stay with her parents for a month over the summer and she didn't even think about how this would affect me.

I feel so neglected, as if I am a nobody.

I know it's ridiculous to feel jealous of a baby, but the baby has taken away my wife who was so loving towards me.

She used to send me messages all day when I was at work and would listen when I would talk to her in the evenings.

Now there's nothing. No time for me at all. It's as if I don't matter anymore.

I resent myself for feeling this way, but I can't help the way I feel.
