WITH just a dozen league games remaining, Glasgow Clan are running out of time to rediscover their form.

Zack Fitzgerald's men suffered another disappointing weekend, falling to defeat to both Guilford Flames and Coventry Blaze.

Their weeknd's results mean they remain in seventh place in the EIHL on 37 points, but they are level on points with eighth place Manchester Storm and only a single point ahead of Dundee Stars in ninth.

The Clan lost out 4-2 at Braehead to Guilford on Saturday before following that up with a 5-3 defeat away to Coventry Blaze the followign day.

It is a far cry from the Clan's impressive run earlier in the season, which saw them top the EIHL.

Fitzgerald's side has been beset by injuries in recent weeks but nevertheless, the hea dcoach is well aware that there are areas in which his players can improve.

"Away from the puck right now, we’re not good enough," he said.

"Our D-zone is okay but it just feels like we’re a step behind."

The Clan's next outing is on Wednesday evening, when they host Nottingham Panthers at Braehead.

With Nottingham sitting in third place in the EIHL, it will be a big ask for Fitzgerald's men but the American knows how important it is for his side to start picking up points.

"When you lose, you try to do better," he said.

"Every single point right now is very important for us."
