Shakeeb Ali and Omar Dusary were in fine form at a boxing extravaganza.
The evening of boxing at Audley Sports Centre, Blackburn saw the impressive Shakeeb Ali overcome Gyula Tallosi in three rounds.
It was his seventh successive win and one which he had to work for against a gutsy opponent.
He said, “It was a good win to end the year.
“I just go out and give it my all and that is all you can do.”
He added, “The preparation was good. I got loads of sparring in against fighters from Lancashire and Yorkshire. Everything was good. We are just going to continue with the progression.”
He thanked all his supporters and fans who turned out in his home town for the fight.
Meanwhile, Omar Dusary got back to winning ways after beating Michael Barnor. He drew his last bout.
He said, “Alhamdulillah thank god for everything
“Still undefeated huge win for my hometown supporters who came out to support me and support my other brothers who fought their heart out.
“I really want to thank god and every person who spent their hard earned money to come and support me, which I appreciate more than anything.”
