The first Community Sports award was presented in 2008 and since then we have honoured the hard work of a range of volunteers.
Yaqoob Hussain, from Audley Boxing Club was awarded the first Community Coach of the Year, which was created in memory of Mumtaz Ellahi, a Ju Jitsu instructor, who died aged 46.
Mumtaz's family have been keen supporters of the award and each year we honour the hard work and dedicated efforts of sports club organisers.
Other winners have included, Eamonn Mcnamara (pictured above) of the Preston Sunday League.
The late Eddie Hart and his wife Slyvia Hart from the Blackburn and District Cricket League.
The Shin-Gi-Ru Muay-Thai Kickboxing Club collectively won the Award in 2009.
In 2013 Lionel Cooke was presented the award for his services to football and cricket leagues.
The 2014 Fusion Mumtaz Ellahi Community Sports Award winner was Siraz Natha who was presented the award by Mumtaz’s son with Ajwer and special guest on the night Juggy D.

Ken Livesey was the most recent recipient of the received the award at the 2015 ceremony which took place at Blackburn’s King George’s Hall.
