Christmas came early for visitors to Garsons Farm in Esher at the weekend, when it hosted its annual two-day food market.

Visitors were invited to sample festive foods such as cranberry bread and seasonal cheeses, pick up inspiration for festive entertaining and buy early for Christmas.

Food blogger Bill Williamson, of What Dad Cooked, attended the event and performed cooking demonstrations in front of an audience, creating three new recipes, including traditional sausages, using ingredients from the farm shop.

The event was also an opportunity for the farm to launch its new Christmas hampers and personalised box of luxury chocolates.

Amy Dunne, Garsons Farm Shop manager, said: “This is the third year we have hosted a Christmas Food Market and it gets bigger and better every time.

“Good quality food and drink are a key part of what makes Christmas magical, and visitors loved sampling delicious local produce, meeting the makers first-hand and taking home delicious treats and inspirational ideas to make their festive entertaining extra special.”
