A takeaway has been forced to sell pizzas for 49p after Pakistan romped to victory in today's T20 World Cup match.
Sliders Pizzas and Grill on Plane Street told customers they could order a 9-inch Special Chicken Tandoori Pizza for only 49p IF Pakistan won their T20 World Cup Match against India, with India starting as favourites.
But in one of the most one-sided matches between the two sides in an ICC World Cup tournament history, Pakistan restricted India to 152 before Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam chased down the score to seal a 10-wicket win.
As Pakistan got off to a great start this afternoon the takeaway said they had already started receiving calls about the offer.
The offer was only available for today (Sunday 24 October) and through phone orders.
There is also a limit of one order per customer. The 9-inch Special Chicken Tandoori Pizza would normally set you back £8 according to the Sliders website.
The ‘Tandoori Chicken Special’ consists of chicken tandoori, red onions, mixed peppers, sweetcorn, jalapenos and of course the Sliders sauce.
