Three teenagers appeared in court today to deny the murder of a television executive whose body was found in the boot of a burnt-out car.

Gagandip Singh, 21, was discovered after police came across a blue Mercedes on fire in Blackheath, south east London, in February.

Mr Singh, owner of a new broadcasting service called Sikh TV, is believed to have been attacked earlier at a flat in Brighton.

Two men, Harinder Shoker and Darren Peters, together with a woman, Mundill Mahil, appeared at the Old Bailey, where they denied murder.

The three defendants, all aged 19, are due to face a four-week trial starting on November 28.

Shoker, of Charlton Park Lane, south east London, and Peters, of Shooters Hill Road, Blackheath, appeared via videolink and remain in custody.

Mahil, of Maidstone Road, Chatham, Kent, appeared in the dock and is on bail.
